Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or our services, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- What you send us: your name, phone number, e-mail, service address, the device and the problem you describe, and your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.
- During a job: the quote you approve, your signature, photos of the device and its serial number, the work done, the receipt and the warranty.
- When you call or send us a message: your number, the messages and, where we tell you, a recording or transcript of the conversation.
- Basic technical data: your IP address and browser details, used to block spam and abuse.
2. How we use it
- To answer your request, prepare your quote, send a technician and keep you updated by phone or e-mail.
- To complete payment, issue your receipt and honour your warranty.
- To keep our technicians and customers safe, and to keep a record of what was agreed.
- To protect our forms from spam and fraud.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising by other companies.
3. Services that help us
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is sent by a person and not a bot.
- Photon (OpenStreetMap data) suggests matching addresses while you type your service address. The text you type is sent to it to find matches.
- Our phone and e-mail providers deliver calls and e-mails about your request.
- Payment processors handle card and online payments. We do not store full card numbers.
- This website loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts and cdnjs, which receive your IP address when the page loads.
4. Your devices and data
Our technicians access the files and accounts on your device only as far as the repair needs, and never copy personal content for themselves. If you share a passcode for a repair, it is used only for that repair. See section 4 of our Terms and Conditions about backing up your data.
5. Browser storage
The website stores a few small items in your browser: your language choice, and the times of your recent form sends so the same request is not sent many times in a row. We do not use advertising cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while we serve you, for as long as your warranty applies, and for as long as tax and business records must be kept by law. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.
7. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent where the law allows. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
